Jannek Squar is a researcher and has a background in both computer science and physics. He has experience in scientific applications and their execution on high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure. Jannek's initial work involved contributions to an integrated support system for sustainable agriculture. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD focused on automatic code transformation using LLVM, with a specific emphasis on OpenMP and netCDF. His research aims to automatically identify promising code kernels and replace them with optimized MPI or parallel netCDF operations, resulting in an improved memory usage.
