Scientific Computing // Wissenschaftliches Rechnen
The group Scientific Computing conducts research and development on high performance storage systems. We develop HPC concepts and apply them to simulation software with a focus on earth system models.
The group offers products for research and teaching, and contributes to third-party projects.
News
- 2020-03-31: Our workshop on Challenges and Opportunities of HPC Storage Systems (CHAOSS) has been accepted at Euro-Par 2020!
- 2019-11-06: The position on “Workflows for reproducible computational science and data science” in the Helmholtz Graduate School for the Structure of Matter is still open for applications.
- 2019-10-18: New postdoc position available in the InterReg project "Waterquality".
- 2019-10-16: We welcome Georgiana Mania in our group! She is a doctoral researcher in the DASHH graduate school at DESY and will be co-supervised by members of our group.
- 2019-07-03: Our project for a Coupled Storage System for Efficient Management of Self-Describing Data Formats has been granted funding by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and will start soon!
